Spring is springing, melting and flooding.

It was a wonderful day in Minnesota today. Warm weather and sunshine. It won’t be long now before it’s above freezing almost every day 🙂

About scott

I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and have a passion for making portraits with view cameras and large format black and white film. In the last ten years, I have been drawn to older film cameras and large film formats up to 8x10 inch negatives. I also spend a fair amount of time perfecting recipes for home-made pizza and vegetarian soup. When not engaged in the aforementioned pursuits, I think about which mountain I will hike next.

I think this is a great shot. It’s very much what I had in mind–only lacking the cool ice blobs all up and down the spout–with the water droplets in motion. I love the fine spray coming off the spout and how soft-focus the ground is. Nicely realized image. Way to make the super mundane beautiful.
