Flattop Mountain, Rocky Mountain National Park

Sunday, all the climbers met at the climbing school at 4:45 AM.  Everyone found a ride and we drove to the park.  We left the Bear Lake Trail head at 6 AM and climbed the Dragontail Couloir on Flattop Mountain, 12,324 feet.  It was a great 3 mile hike each way and a snow climb of close to 2,000 feet at a 40 degree angle.  These pictures of the Flattop climb are courtesy of my climbing partners, John, Suzy & Frank.  I had a great time and was fortunate that the other members of our rope team were fun people,  good climbers and well conditioned.
