This is about .5 mile down the trail. I had 7 hours to hike so I knew this wasn't a summit day. I figured it was still well worth the hike to see the mountain I will eventually climb. Now that I have seen it up close, I want to climb it even more. 6:30AM was a great time to get on the trail, it was after the climbers planning to summit, and before most day hikers. Except for a couple guys that passed me, I had the trail to myself until I cleared the trees. Very surprising for a Saturday in August. It was a beatiful hike up.
